1What time do we pick our boat up?
Your pickup time is 3PM. This will allow time for you to unload your car and store your belongings safely on board before beginning our comprehensive handover procedure.
2How far can we go?
Take a look at our suggested itineraries. A pretty safe wait to estimate the time it takes to get somewhere is to add the miles you need to travel to the number of locks you have to navigate and divided by three. You may decide to be underway for most of the day or be happy to meander along for 4 to 5 hours. Remember you are on holiday and that the pace is slow and relaxing. 3Where can we moor?
You can generally more wherever you wish as long as it is on the towpath side of the canal. You must, however, make sure not to moor up overnight on a water point, pump out facility or in front of a lock. Canal and river trust visitor moorings are marked with black-and-white signs and generally have steel mooring rings. These make ideal overnight stops and are frequently situated near to local services. In a more rural mooring, you’ll need to use your mooring pins and sometimes your gangplank if you’re unable to pull the boat Close enough to the bank.
4What about insurance?
The boat is insured by us for third party risks and damage to the boat in excess all £500. You are advised to take out your own holiday insurance to cover cancellation, personal accidents and loss of personal effects.
5What extras do we have to pay for?
Almost none. Everything is included onboard including fuel. We charge £25 per pet to a maximum of two
